OPHA is encouraging all public health units to join efforts to raise awareness about the public health impact of expanding beer retailing and distribution to 450 grocery stores in Ontario. A package of information was sent to all health units this week that includes tools to facilitate advocacy efforts, including media talking points, sample letters, and memos to adapt for local use, as well as links to letters to the editor, newspaper columns, recent blogs and fact sheets.
