Improving health by design in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area

A new report entitled Improving Health by Design in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area (GTHA) will be released in Toronto on Wednesday. The report by medical officers of health in the GTHA highlights that improvements in the way communities are designed along with the integration of public transportation could prevent more than 330 premature deaths and 1,000 cases of diabetes each year across Toronto, Peel, Simcoe-Muskoka and Hamilton.
