This pilot report provides an overview of a process that was used to improve access to healthier food and beverages in a workplace. The lessons learned can serve as a guide for workplaces that are looking to offer healthier choices and reduce the amount of less healthy food that is offered and sold in the workplace.
The Food and Beverage Standards for Nova Scotia Public Schools are based upon Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating. They provide nutrition criteria, suggestions, and detailed lists of healthy options that can help inform decisions about the food and beverages served and sold during the school day.
