Addressing Alcohol and Alcohol-Related Harms at the Local Level

OPHA Alcohol Prevention Workgroup – Through Public Health Ontario’s Locally Driven Collaborative Project program, 12 health units released a report titled Addressing Alcohol and Alcohol-Related Harms at the Local Level. The report identifies evidence-based, local-level strategies to reduce alcohol consumption and related harms.
 
Using findings from the literature, key informant interviews and public health unit surveys, the project team formulated 13 recommendations for local-level action and 6 areas for advocacy in
Ontario.
 
This report is a resource for public health practitioners who are looking for evidence-based advice about how to reduce the harmful effects of alcohol at the local level.
