Health in All Policies Forum
HC Link is hosting this learning and networking event for our Policy Learning Community members and others who are working on developing, changing or implementing policies for healthy communities. All are welcome to join us for this one-day in-person forum to learn, share information and experiences, and exchange knowledge related to developing policies for healthy communities. There is no charge to attend and lunch is provided.

Registration Deadline: February 23, 2015
By attending this forum, participants will be able to:
•   gain knowledge about Health in All policies;
•   learn new tools and techniques for policy work; and
•   share information about their own policy initiatives with others.
Members of the Policy Learning Community have joined with HC Link staff to plan an exciting agenda of guided discussions of challenges, tools and resources that will help you become more effective in your policy work. The main segments of the forum will be:
a) Health in All Policies Approach:
An overview of the HiAP approach will be presented, with examples of how some members of the Policy Learning Community are incorporating it into their work. We will explore how we are engaging stakeholders and community members in a HiAP approach and some of the tools and resources we are found to be helpful.
b)  Moving Policy Forward: Challenges, Opportunities, Tools & Techniques
We will discuss how we are working with our communities to develop policy proposals, engage community members in participatory planning and evaluation, and share information about helpful resources, processes or tools.
c) Shaping the Future of the Policy Learning Community
In small groups we will reflect on the benefits the Learning Community has or could create for our work, and recommend appropriate functions, activities and resources for the Policy Learning Community.

You are welcome to contribute to the forum by sharing information about a policy initiative you have been involved with, or a tool or resource that you have found helpful. We will also set up an information table so please bring materials for others to view – or a poster if you have one.

Together we will learn, share information and experiences, and exchange knowledge related to developing policies for healthy communities. Hope to see you there!
