Regina residents celebrate World Food Day

This year’s World Food Day theme is one Saskatchewan producers can relate to; family farming. Around 10, 000 students across the province took part in the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region’s ‘The Big Crunch,’ where students chowed down on carrots and learned about the importance of eating local and healthy foods.

A new study suggests that missing your morning meal, and especially the protein parts of it, may be a direct cause of overeating later in the day. In the study, published this week in the Nutrition Journal, researchers examined the eating habits of young women with an average age of 19.
