Risk Reduction of Cognitive Decline and Dementia: WHO Guidelines

Chronic Disease Prevention These guidelines recommend a comprehensive set of interventions for reducing the risk of cognitive decline and dementia based on current research evidence.  They can be used by healthcare providers in primary care settings as well as by governments, policymakers, and public health professionals to guide program and policy development. Section 3.3 provides guidance on nutritional interventions while section 3.7 provides guidance on weight management.
Please note that the WHO guidelines on a healthy diet may differ in some respects from Canada’s Food Guide.
