Primary Prevention of Childhood Obesity (2nd Edition)

Healthy Weight | Obesity An updated report, published by Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO), providing clinical best practice guidelines for the primary prevention of childhood obesity. The guidelines were developed by an inter-professional expert panel which included registered nurses, registered dietitians, physicians, social workers and public health professionals. The best practice recommendations are categorized by 1) practice; 2) education; and 3) system, organization and policy. The report and recommendations for children (birth to 12 years old) are grounded in the current state of knowledge and employs social-environmental perspective to health promotion.
