NRC Webinar: The Mobile Revolution - Can apps promote healthy eating?

| Online
NRC Webinar: The Mobile Revolution - Can apps promote healthy eating? The rise of smartphones has been accompanied by growth in the popularity of healthy eating- and nutrition-related mobile apps. We can now keep food diaries, track calories, monitor weight loss, and identify unhealthy foods with the touch of a screen. Apps are transforming the practice of dietitians and providing new ways to promote healthy eating to the public.

In this webinar, you will learn why Dietitians of Canada developed three mobile apps - eaTrackereaTipster, and Cookspiration - and how they are currently being used by health professionals and the public. We will also put the spotlight on the variety of apps that are available and their effectiveness for promoting healthy eating.
