The NRC has two standing committees - the NRC Advisory Committee and the Provincial Roundtable Committee - comprised of stakeholder representatives from among our clients and partner organizations.

NRC Advisory Committee 

The NRC Advisory Committee provides subject matter advice and guidance on our strategic and operational goals. The committee is a network of individuals from across Ontario who work in a variety of disciplines (i.e., public health, community health centres, family health teams and academia).

The objectives of the group are:

  1. To provide healthy eating and nutrition-related advice to the NRC.
  2. To identify emerging issues in the area of healthy eating and nutrition that will impact knowledge exchange, capacity building, programs and services, and healthy eating and nutrition policy developments.

Members of the NRC Advisory Committee (2018) include:

NRC Provincial Roundtable Committee

The NRC Provincial Roundtable Committee includes representatives from Ontario's public health units (PHU's), community health centres (CHC's) and family health teams (FHT's). The objectives of the Provincial Roundtable Committee are to:

  1. Discuss current public health priorities in the area of healthy eating and nutrition.
  2. Provide updates on NRC initiatives and activities.
  3. Identify and discuss PHU and provincial needs required for supporting healthy eating and nutrition in Ontario.
