OPHA Lean Sigma Green Belt Workshop

OPHA Lean Sigma Green Belt Workshop

When: August 25, 2015
Time: 08:30 AM
The ability to lead change and enhance organizational effectiveness have become increasingly prized leadership skills. Lean Sigma is a powerful, proven method that professionals across sectors and at all levels have used to improve process flow, remove non-value-added steps and waste, reduce variation, and increase efficiency and quality in a systematic way.

Designed specifically for public and community health, this Lean Sigma
Green Belt Workshop, provided in partnership with the Leading Edge Group, provides the unique opportunity for participants to strengthen their leadership skills by learning how to integrate Lean and Six Sigma as part of a quality improvement framework and achieve positive change in their public and community health organizations.

Building on White and Yellow Belt training, this workshop provides a comprehensive overview of Lean Sigma and its effective applications in a variety of public and community health settings. It outlines and demonstrates the essential Lean tools and practices that can be applied to decrease/avoid costs, increase efficiency and quality of service, improve satisfaction, and create an ongoing culture of continuous quality improvement. Participants will gain expertise in applying key Lean, Six Sigma and change management tools and practices as well as the capability to lead an improvement project.

Expert mentoring will be provided throughout the training. Immediate practical application is enabled through the requirement to complete an 'action project' aimed at realizing improvements within a workplace process as part of assessment for the program.

Upon completion, all participants will receive an internationally recognized certificate in Lean Sigma for Public and Community Health.
