Lean Sigma Black Belt Workshop

Lean Sigma Black Belt Workshop

When: December 5, 2018
Time: 09:30 AM
Where: Toronto
Designed specifically for public and community health, OPHA Lean Sigma Workshops will strengthen your continuous quality improvement and leadership skills to achieve positive change through learning how to integrate Lean Sigma as part of a quality improvement framework.

Overview and Objectives

This program builds on Green Belt training to provide participants with a practical application of advanced Lean Sigma tools and techniques, as well as developing the appropriate process improvement, leadership and project/program management skills to drive the changes that are necessary for a successful Lean Sigma transformation.
The program has been custom built for public health, including relevant examples, scenarios and case studies.

The program combines classroom training and online learning, whereby participants attend 3 days of instructor-led training that build on Green Belt and are provided with online learning resources and core textbooks.

Program Materials

Core materials for the program consist of the following:
  • Classroom training content in hard copy format
  • Relevant tools and templates for use in applying key concepts and techniques
  • Online access to relevant modules on Leading Edge Group’s Learning Management System (LMS) portal
  • Three core text books
  • Recommended reading list containing suitable references

Program content understanding and application will be assessed through the submission of module assignments and a Black Belt in-house improvement project.

Expert Support

As well as attending classroom training, each Lean Black Belt participant is assigned an expert mentor to provide support throughout the program. This involves providing any clarification on subject matter queries, advising on suitable project selection and scoping and supporting participants as they undertake the project and module assignments.
