The forum will focus on recent developments in Ontario and our goals are to:
  • Provide current alcohol policy information and promote evidence-based policies that reduce the social and health harms from alcohol;
  • Raise public awareness about the potential social and health impacts from expanded access to alcohol;
  • Present local response and action to address alcohol-related harm; and
  • Build political will to adopt an evidence-informed provincial alcohol control strategy that prioritizes community safety and reduces harm.

If I require hotel accommodation, where should I stay?
Forum organizers have reserved a block of rooms at the Chelsea Toronto Hotel, 33 Gerrard Street West. It is a seven-minute walk from the hotel to Oakham House. Call 1-800-CHELSEA (1-800-243-5732) prior to April 22 and reserve a room under Alcohol Policy Forum Room Block. You will be required to pay upon checkout. The room rate per night is $169.00 + HST= $190.97. Daily parking rate at the hotel is $29.00.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Yonge/Dundas Subway Station: 
Walk one block north on Yonge Street to Gould Street, turn right on Gould Street and walk east. The Ryerson Student Centre is on the south side of Gould Street at Church Street
BY CAR
Don Valley Parkway south exit at Richmond Street East and continue towards Church Street, turn right (north) at Church. The Ryerson Student Centre is at Church and Gould Street.
