Achieving continuous quality improvement in public health

What: Webinar
When: May 25, 2016
Time: 12:00 PM
How can continuous improvement help to improve operations and achieve transformational change in Public Health?

This webinar provides an overview of what continuous quality improvement methodology is and how it can be used in public health settings to realize strategic and operational goals. The webinar will feature examples of quality improvement initiatives from local public health units across Ontario.

Jane Bishop, Director of Health Services for Leading Edge Group, is a registered nurse with over 30 years experience working in the UK, Ireland, USA and Canada. Jane has supported a number of local public health units in Ontario over the past 18 months to successfully apply Lean to help improve a variety of programs including environmental health, vaccine-preventable diseases, oral health, and control of infectious diseases. This support has enabled her to develop a strong understanding of the framework that public and community health organizations and professionals in the province are working within as well as the unique challenges involved. Jane is a Lean Sigma Master Black Belt and her expertise has enabled her to work effectively with clinical teams, administrators, service partners and community groups at organizational, regional and provincial levels to achieve positive and sustainable change.
