Released in October 2015, The Conference Board of Canada's inaugural Annual Report Card on food assesses Canada’s food and beverage sector performance in five areas against 16 leading peer OECD countries. This webinar will share how the report card was developed and provide top line results of Canada’s food performance covering healthy food and diets, industry prosperity, household food security, food safety and environmental sustainability.

 




Presenter

Jean-Charles Le Vallée, Msc, PhD,
is a Senior Research Associate with The Conference Board of Canada's Centre for Food in Canada. A former World Bank economist, Jean-Charles has coordinated Canada's Food Security Bureau at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and managed the world's largest food security web community for the Development Gateway. He has extensive teaching and research experience with FAO, IFPRI, the World Food Prize, and numerous universities such as Cornell, Laval, Michigan State, and Ryerson. Jean-Charles is the author of a book on food system resilience and has published numerous journal articles, book chapters, and policy briefs on food issues.
